IIEP researcher Wen-Pei Sung invited as keynote speaker for CSSS 2024

Recently, Academician Song Wenpei, a Fellow of the International Engineering Technology Institute (IETI), a researcher at the Institute of International Engineering Psychology in the United States, and former Dean of the School of Humanities and Creativity at Qinyi University of Science and Technology in Taiwan, officially accepted the invitation. He will serve as the keynote speaker for the "2024 3rd International Conference on Computational Science and Social Sustainability (CSSS 2024)".

Wen-Pei Sung is currently a Lifetime Distinguished Professor. He previously served as the Vice-President of Academic Affairs and Dean at the College of Humanities and Creativities, as well as the Department Chair at the National Chin-Yi University of Technology. He is a member of the Accreditation Council, Ministry of Education, and a committee member of the Public Construction Commission. He simultaneously serves as a consultant for the Low Carbon Office of the Taichung City Government and a member of the Taichung City Urban Planning Committee. He has been recognized as a Diplomate in Water Resources Engineering by the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers and elected as a Board-Certified Environmental Engineer by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) in the UK.


His expertise lies in vocational education, structural engineering, environmental engineering, and civil engineering. He has extensive experience in structural dynamics, structural analysis, earthquake engineering, dynamic analysis, structural vibration, finite element analysis, and structural health monitoring. His research interests also encompass environmental engineering, water resources, construction materials, and environmental impact assessment. He is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers and the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists, in addition to IEEE. He has received numerous awards and recognitions for his contributions to engineering and education. Additionally, he has served on various committees and contributed to publications within the IEEE community.
