Welcome Chih Ming Kao, Distinguished Chair Professor at Sun Yat sen University in Taiwan, to join IIEP

Recently, Chih Ming Kao, an outstanding professor at Sun Yat sen University in Taiwan, joined IIEP as a research fellow and member of the IIEP Academic Committee.
Prof. Chih-Ming Kao is a distinguished chair professor in the Institute of Environmental Engineering at National Sun Yat-Sen University, Taiwan. He was the former Coordinator of Environmental Engineering Program at Ministry of Science and Technology, former President of the Chinese Institute of Environmental Engineering, and former President of the Taiwan Association of Soil and Groundwater Environmental Protection. He received his Ph.D. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1993. Prof. Kao has more than 30 years of experiences as a researcher and environmental engineer in contaminated land restoration, watershed management, and sustainable development. He has published more than 300 SCI/EI peer-reviewed journal papers, authored 62 patents, and72 books/chapters. Prof. Kao received different awards frominternational associations including the ASCE Distinguished Member Award, Rudolph Hering Medal, State of the Art of Civil Engineering Award, and Samuel Arnold Greely Award. He received the Honorary International Member from AAEES, and Grand Prize - Excellence in Environmental Engineering and Science from AAEES. He also received theRobert G. Wetzel Award from AIH and Mckee Medal from WEF.
