Yang Jun
Professor Yang Jun is currently employed at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Studies at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and is also a visiting professor at the University of Macau. He worked at the University of Western Ontario in Canada from 2005 to 2021 as a professor of Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering. Currently, he is a part-time professor at the university, an academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, a registered engineer, and the center director of Canada's first Industry 4.0 R&D project (WIN 4.0-Western's Industry 4.0 Network). Professor Yang Jun is also a member of the Expert Committee of the International Intelligent Manufacturing Alliance, the director of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) China Canada Innovation Center, a member of the Canadian Standards Committee, the vice chairman of the Expert Committee of the China International Cultural Exchange Center's "the Belt and Road" Green Development Research Institute, the vice chairman of the Overseas Chinese Science and Technology Federation and the director of the Expert Committee, and serves as the executive chief editor and deputy chief editor of several first-class journals in their professional fields.
Professor Yang Jun has published over 180 papers, including multiple cover articles, in international first-class journals in his research field; Having 28 authorized or pending patents; Over 100 times invited to give presentations at important academic conferences, seminars, and academic institutions. Received awards in multiple professional fields, such as the United Nations Industrial Development Organization Global Innovation Center Outstanding Achievement Award, AI Golden Goose Special Contribution Award, Vanguard Awards for Technology Transformation, Engineering Award for Excellence in Research, NSERC Discovery Accelerator Award, and Xerox UAC Award, Scholar from Faculty Scholar College at the University of Western Ontario, Canada, second place in the Advanced Manufacturing Finals of the 3rd National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, University of Western Ontario Innovation Award, Ontario ERA Youth Scholar Award, PetroCanada Youth Invention Award, CFI-LOF Leading Talent Hope Award, UWO-ADF Academic Innovation Award, and American Cardiovascular Association Postdoctoral Scholarship. Its research results have been widely reported by many mainstream academic and news media and academic institutions around the world.
